Does this happen with every track you play?
How about the weight on the end of the tonearm, is that in the same postion as the other TT?
If so my guess would be the tonearm itself is ****ed, if that the case your shit out of luck cause i'd imagine it would be just as cheaper to buy a new deck cause a tonearm don't come cheap!
FYI - A technics tonearm cost just over £50

Both table are doing it.... make sure the table you have them sitting on is flat, the decks have to be perfectly flat otherwise they skip.

if its both tables forget what i said already, i would check the weights on the end of the tone arm and just keep changing that to see if it improves

what i think is happening is that the tone arm isn't being pushed into the center of the record, if i push lightly on the side of the cartridge then it seems to stay on track. I dont know if there is anyway to fix it, but suggestions would be good :-)

I'm quite possitive your deck's are not leveled, this is exactly what would happen if they were not. They have to be perfectly flat otherwise the arm wont track to the middle of the record.

This might sound stupid but you have the tone arm lifter thing all the way down right?

what needles and cartridges are you using?
some headsheels require more weight, is there any extra weight been added? i know my TT's with the original headsheel came with an extra weight for this reason!
Grand master flash use to use coins attached to the headshell to add more weight, although that cant be good for your vinyl if i was you i would try taping a coin to the top of the headsheel to see if that gives enough weight and allows the record to play

a friend of mine has the same problem but with a different pair of decks.
the needle on his seemed really bent upwards, and the plastic housing of the stylus kept touching the records, causing it to skip a lot.
it didn't happen with every record though, just a lot of them.
any chance you could post a picture of what you're working with?
