If you don't like the posts, don't read them. ;) Works both ways.

Moaning is human nature. There is no point asking people to have one sided conversations just because you happen to back that side. :)

That is true hence why I don't read half of the posts on here

Commercialisation of hardcore is a fact, not a cliché.

Compare Clubland X-treme Hardcore 1-2 with CLXH 3-4, compare the Hardcore Nation series with the Hardcore Adrenaline series, and you will see the difference. And these are the same djs!

Glad we still have the Hardcore Underground series, and the new Hardcore Nation looks good as well. I hope the Freeformation album will continue, and Brisk said The Collection V.4 will come out this year. :)

i think alot of people are worried about hardcore becoming too commercial and it becoming a fad. Its like the indie scene, i know a few people who have been into indie all their life even when it wasnt popular and they now feel that their scene is getting ruined a bit because eevery1 is jumping on the bandwagon of what is 'cool'. My mates used to love going to indie clubs but now they say its changed and that its really hard to find a 'true' indie club that just plays indie music. Example: My mate was in town and a guy who hands flyers out asked him to come into his club and my friend asked what music it was and the guy said indie. To which my friend asked 'is it proper indie or crap like kaiser chiefs etc' The guy told him it was proper indie. My mate went in and said it was good, an hour and a half in, Grandmaster Flash came on! When my mate said to the dj 'i thought its an indie club' the dj just shrugged.

i think people are just worried that this will happen to hardcore and people will not give a shit about the music and use it as a payday and a way to become cool.

I guess people just dont wanna be walking down the street hearing 14 year old chavs saying. 'OMGZ!!!!! Av u erd dis brand new d.j, playing this brand new type of music!!! Hes called DJ Gammer!!!! neva erd of him before so he must be new to the scene!!!"!

Does whoever buys bonkers also inherit the debt that Amato owes all the artists? Cos if so, then someone with cash would be the ideal group i would guess?

I worry slightly about the commercialistion of hardcore, but was I the only person on this forum who enjoyed CLXH 4? Not to say I didnt enjoy Bonkers, there are just different ways of producing hardcore. Some are more 'polished' or commercial, but thats a matter of preference, even if the darren styles' of the scene go more commercial, it doesnt mean that they or the rest of the producers will necessarily abandon us all does it? I dont pretend to know anything about how the music industry works, but I dont really understand the 'doomsday' feeling about commercialisation.

And even if Bonkers is ruined by AATW, bonkers is only a name on a box, there are plenty of other titles around.

If you read what I said properly you will notice that I said it's almost a cliche to moan about the commercialisation of hardcore - not the commercialisation fact being the cliche.

Make that 4 CD's - can't forget Australia

Don't forget a 5th one for The Netherlands! For all the Gabber heads out there!

at the end of the day if its a bad cd dont buy it and if its a good cd buy it.

i feel attatched to bonkers as a series seeing as it got me into hardcore but at the end of the day there are loads of other cds and our favorite bonkers djs are going to move on to other compilations.

anyway i dont see hardcore being commercialised to the level people are fretting about.
could you imagine turning over the channel and seeing dougal and gammer belting out the tunnel to an audience on top of the pops?

commercialise it all you like, im staying true to the real stuff

No, I thought CXH4 was the best CXH to be honest. Or tied with CXH2 at least. But I'm worried Bonkers will become like it, I like Bonkers for what it is - different than CXH. But if that is not the case and the style of Bonkers will remain the same, then what harm could it do if AATW bought the series?

No, I also liked CXH4 and bonkers 17 as well. I also like Euphoria Hardcore, H Adrenaline 1 & 2 (not 3), HU 1 & 2, and a few other ones that have been highly criticized as being crap to many ppl on here. The thing is hardcore comes in different styles from commercial to cheezy to underground. There truly is something for everyone. I enjoy every single style of hardcore, maybe not so much gabber but there are some good trax from it that I like.

Yes I understand how ppl are worried about commercialization ruining the scene and the whole genre, but what if it does? Do you really think that it will last? I'm seeing so many jumpstyle or hardstyle tracks right now and it more than likely won't last. Yes commercialization is a fad.

Do we remember how we all have talked about how the 2000 era of hardcore sucked? how many of us stuck to the scene while all the criticism happened? fans and djs/producers? I truly believe that if you are a tru hardcore fan, you would stick to the scene through thick and thin, the good and bad. ppl who just come in midway and suddenly leave because it's no longer 'underground' are not tru fans.

I for one have not been a hardcore fan for a long time. I actually became one during the 2000 year and since then have collected tracks in the genre from 95 to present. The scene has change drastically, but the music is still good. It may not be as fast as it once was but I will still stick to it through thick and thin, good or bad.
