Having seen stuff with this basic theme a billion times, I can officially say I'm sick of this shit. That's not the way school is, at all. I get that it's supposed to be eggageration, but it's based on ******** that distracts from the actual problems with the education system.

I dont think how many people realize how almost true that is here in America. It's getting so ridiculous on how people are getting offended at every little thing and running to the lawyers. And how parents no longer disciline their kids because if something doesnt go their way, like I said, all they got to do is file a lawsuit. People are becoming pussies. That is the only word I can use to describe how our nation is becoming. It shouldnt be that easy to sue someone. Unless someone physically hurts you, robs you, damages property, or death threats, GET OVER IT! And discipline your damn kids parents!!! Making them say a thoughtless "sorry" doesnt do anyting! And sending them to their room is crap too, they have cell phones, game counsels, etc. all in their room. Spank them, let them know you are boss, teach them morals & values, and wa-la! There ya go!

i agree with most of what you apart from "Spank them, let them know you are boss". imo there is a time and a place for spanking (a firm slap on the arse / back of hand). doing it to show them you are boss is wrong on many levels. imo you do it as a last resort, and you dont make threats about doing it. it should be something that makes them think of the event and think of it as a bad thing that happened. i also think it should be followed with an explanation of why you decided to do it and if necessary, how they could go about not repeating the same thing again.

kids dont understand or care about any of that crap. all they kno is you smacked em and watever they did they wont do again. wen i was i kid i bit my sister on the arm, she bled, she cried, my dad smacked my arse raw, i never did it again. i agree that smackin your kids should only be used in extreme cases, not just cos theyr cryin and your gettin sick of it, but you dont need to explain yourself to them, theyll know.

"watever they did they wont do again"

id be more inclined to say, "watever they did they wont get caught doing it again".

explaining why its wrong, and what they can do to help stop it happening again is much more likly to get a positive response in the long run, imo of course!

Out schools (at least in the US) are a police state nightmare. Rather than being trained to be adults with minds, our every action is monitored and regulated to a point where we're left with no actual responsibility for our own minds.
It encourages magical thinking ("If I do X, Y will happen, because I'm told it will"), rigid conformity, rationality based on authority and perceived usefulness ("I don't give a shit if it's right or wrong, I just want to get the grade"), and in general being an unthinking, unfeeling part of the horde (especially when the options for "rebellion" are all sold at Hot Topic).
It's not a matter of there being an overprotective "PC" environment. Some institutional freakouts over minor things do occur, and it is too common to see kids overmedicated and overprotected, but it's not some huge, sweeping problem that people who remember "the good ol days" seem to think it is.
More than anything, our current problems are just reaping what years of idiocy has sown, not anything new. The problems of now are the same problems of then, albeit with slightly differently directed paranoia. Using extremely overhyped (and often dead ****ing wrong) examples of "PC GONE MAD" to justify a return to the outdated ethos that got us into this mess in the first place is ridiculous.
