I have a friend that keeps forcing down my throat that no one over 20 likes HHC/UK Hardcore. Any sharers in this idea?

I know loads of people over 20 who like "UK Hardcore"
They're just a bit more embittered/cynical/selective ;)

Well... all the producers (mostly) are above 20 so.... yeah
Im nearly 21 and i still love it. But yeah i am a bit more selective of what i like. I also like hardstyle, gabber and hard dance a lot more than i used to.

Even if he was right, obviously he is not, who cares if you were the only over 20 that likes hardcore music anyway?

You see more older (much older) people at raves than for any other genre by far, i believe, so he definitely has no point. Just sounds like a cock to me that is trying to say Hardcore music isn't a serious genre and only kids listen to it.

Im 20 and very selective! As everyone knows its Bouncy Techno & Happy Gabber which is the style I choose above all others! A bit of Freeform & early '90s stuff is good also but I just get so bored of Upfront so easier these days...
There isn't really any age of what people like or don't like. That isn't ewhat Hardcore (or music) is about!

Im 21 and absolutely love hardcore and that will never change. Your mate is talkin bollocks, like someone likes hardcore and then on their 21st birthday just say 'wow, i dont like hardcore anymore, must be because im over 20!' Loads of older people like hardcore

I lost interest in Happy Hardcore when I was in my late 20's but got back into Old Skool Hardcore, Hardcore Breaks & Breakbeat Hardcore when I turned 30. Been listening to a lot of early/mid 90's Happy Hardcore but haven't any interest in UK Hardcore. Its just not rough enough for me!

Very good point. I'm 27. Age doesn't come into it. If you like something then you like something. My old boss used to laugh at Hardcore when i used to play it in the van & say that when i grow up i'll forget about Hardcore & listen to normal music. I don't think so.
