Well, I'm a software DJ, and I know how to beatmatch, I beatmatch manually with the software (I use a MIDI controller.) I also can, and have frequently, beatmatched with CDJ's, and find it easier to get a really nice, perfect beatmatch on CDJ's then with software.

This is to say that using software doesn't necessarily make you a "microwave DJ."

that's good and props to you for learning. my point wasn't to say Laptop Dj's are lame or lazy.

beathmatching isnt easy. took me a while to learn and feel comfortable with it. If guys don't wanna learn nobody can make em' learn.

Serato i think would help any beginner DJ, as it gives you that visual reference.

i dunno, i guess i'm just slightly bitter that i learned the hard way and some schmuck with no experience could do the same thing over the period of a weekend that took me months to learn. i've seen it happen.

it's a nice piece of technology that i plan on buying at some point tho
