ah not into that, I edited my entry, I shouldnt feel personally attacked by forum posts, nevermind :P
Ouf of the 3 cd's though, my favourite is clearly the D&G one. I just need to get my hand on every single release ASAP, its all totally banging rave material imo :D

I'm Bulby_G, says at the side mate.
<-------------
Just saying perhaps you should open your eyes as to what's out there in the world of hardcore a bit mate. BTW I like some of the tracks on it, I've heard most of the stuff on it elsewhere.
I don't have to listen to Storm and Whizzkid again to tell you I don't like their MC'ing. I've been listening to them (not out of choice) for years. Fair play they do there thing and other people like it, really just not my thing. I enjoy music, not people talking over it.
*Yes I know it isn't over the whole thing!*

I personally love mc's so i'm a bit biaised from the start concerning this album!
Over here in Montreal, MC's over Happy Hardcore sets is extremely uncommon, maybe because 75% of the scene is francophone. The only few times I got to enjoy mc's are HTID In The Sun and Hullabaloo, so I think I haven't got the chance to get tired of them yet :P

;P I saw it before the edit.
It's the opposite over here. I've been listening to hardcore for a long time now and since the revival Storm and Whizzkid have been over like 70% of sets at raves/on tape packs.
I tend to find myself wandering into rooms of other genres I like at parties to escape the MC's to be honest. Things like Techno, Breaks, oldskool (mc free) rooms, Dirty House. Shame 'cus I really like Hardcore.
I'm not trying to have a dig at S&W here by the way.

And now they are invading the cd compilation world!!! :P
Nah seriously, I can understand how overwhelming it can be for someone who hated mc's, since they seems to be present on EVERY set in the UK. But hey at least you get the big djs and upfront songs that comes with them!

Um. I'm sorry... But like... I can understand having MC's at raves coz most of the time they do kinda get you pumped up... but hey im not gonna be having a stomp in the car listening to this CD am i.... Is it not enough that we have continuous mixing now, we need rhymes over the top of it? Come on STUDIO MCing? wtf? When did we change to rap?
From wikipedia (and common knowledge for most people)
A Master of Ceremonies or MC (sometimes spelled emcee), sometimes called a compère or an MJ for "microphone jockey," is the host of an official public or private staged event or other performance.
Pretty sure you dont need an MC on a ****ing CD FFS

The MCing on True Hardcore is nothing like the MCing in a party!
Rap samples in Happy Hardcore tracks have been around for a long long time (Eye Opener anyone? :P)
What MC Storm and MC Whizzkid are doing on True Hardcore is just sampling for certain tracks here and there, not trying to get you to pop a speed in your car :P Its not really overwhelming at all.
And like I said earlier, I found some tracks really benefited of it. What do you guys think of MC Whizzkid's part in the Intro of Sy & Unknown feat. Lou Lou - The Time Of Our Lives?

See....the way i see it is...
MCing at a party i dont really care, it usually g's me up and it doesnt really sound out of place to be honest. Im usually more busy dancing that actually caring about what the MC is saying - its really the least of my worries.
BUT
On a CD, what else do you have to focus on? And its not constant? SO theyre just yelling a few words every now and then? Well apart from the fact that a) anyone could do that and b)thats gonna sound WAY out of place theres also c) to consider which is the fact that YOU DONT NEED A MASTER OF CEREMONIES ON A CD! wtf!
Also, id rather get a cd where i know it at least has a chance to be good. Not saying theres no point in getting this CD now, im just saying now i know theres gonna be some parts that piss me off. I dont wanna really buy a CD where someone has described consistent parts of it as "bearable"
