Lol, I'm shocked you believe any government give a crap about the people. Everyone should know by now that that is far from the truth. Anything that is seemingly for the good of the people is undoubtedly motivated by self gain. It's pretty naive to think otherwise.

I know a fair few politicians here that try to work "for the greater good". Not saying all are good, or even the majority, but they are there.
