Well, I'd hate for it to become a 'mainstream' thing in America. But maybe just more access to them, since there's literally no raves in Texas.

Also, I agree with latininxtc. A lot of Americans associate raves with drugs =/

I do think a good portion of Americans associate raves primarily with drugs. America is over their extascy craze, and the rave scene went with it. Now the big drug in America is meth, which ends up in all the sub-cultures.

main reason everyone associates drugs with raves is because the media had a hayday with it back in the late 90s. they used some good scare tactics and frightened everyone into thinking just about every raver is a druggie.

the media doesn't care about truths they just want shock value to get ratings.

just check a video out on youtube about a rave what got busted in Utah i think.

the military were b*stards on them,

just a shame that people go to this music event to get away from the crap mainstream stuff what they hear endless like your hip hops/rocks

they should bust them out,

i wasn't referring 2 us as fans of raves and the music. i meant mainly 4 those who know nothing of the electronica culture.

yeah like all the N00Bs coming into the scene cuz they here of drugs and girls wearing practically nothing... it is kinda sad, it was just yesterday i was looking at old rave pics of myself when i was a Kandie Kid.... and how the scene was so much better... she started raving in 06' and yeah even she said "OMG, I wiant to party back then, ravers were actually ravers... not just girls in nothing and drug addicts"

which is sad since she started late.

what's wrong with chics being practically naked?
u're just being a hater. j/k =P
i totally agree tho. chics here tend to be a bit more covered up than over on the west coast but there's always a few that just flaunt all they got, i don't really let it bother me.

personally, it's all about balance for me. if i'm gonna wear something that shows my stomach, i'd wear like ufos. if i feel like showing some leggage, i'd wear a tubey dress thing and lovely fluffies.

which reminds me, i saw this pic on TLY once and some chic was literally wearing like a thong and a pair of fishnets over her body with just little pasties covering her tits. i was like ohemgee!!
