oh my god..
eurovision..
its no longer a song contest. over the years its become far too political..
countries vote for their best pals!
Russia only won cos latvia and all the lil surrounding countries want trade links, protection and a strong political relation..
People dont vote for France.. UK.. Spain etc...
What would Latvia gain from voting UK? however, voting for Russia? they gain more
Doubt UK and us western Europe countries will even participate any more!! scandinavia votes for scandivian countries... eastern europe for eastern european countries..
Is it time to quit or try something different or just lay at the bottom every year?
i think we need to diversicate. send in some hardcore!! BRISK AND HAM!! SOMEONE DIFFERENT FROM POP WHO CAN WIN IT BACK!!
grr
lol
Thoughts??

Yep totally agree except about spain...There song was the worst in the competition and they still got more points than us. I personally thought Iceland was the best song but only because it was the only song that had a dancey feel to it. Or i wanted greece to win just on the off chance that the girl got slightly famous and decided to do a sex tape

Yeah i watched it & i predicted the UK would finish 3rd to bottom. We didn't even finish that high. Its pointless entering but i agree bring on Brisk & Ham for next year.

No they wount gain anything by voting a country in a song contest. 27% of latvias population are russians, your answer is there. Really digging the idea of UK sending Brisk & Ham.
Also UK is doing badly also cause they send mediocre songs. I dont even remember when UK sent an actually good song. Its same here where send shitty songs and are pretty much always on bottom (excluding the year Lordi won).

From what I heard on the news certian countries where banned from voting for certian countries to stop all of the political fixing that goes on....guess that one didn't work then.

Doubt that is true. Also check the top 5, not much political voting there (bar Russia), check 6-15 a lot of political voting there. But for example Norway got top points from if i remember right all nordic countries, i still wouldnt call that political voting just a song that people in the north liked. Political voting doesnt get you far, you still need a good song. E.g. we sure wouldnt give Russia 10 points if we didnt like the song :P
Also i would believe without political (or geographic to be exact) voting Ukraine would have won. Greece and Armenia also got good points from all over europe.

Although what I said was reported on Sky News it transpires the rules have been changed to stop the political voting but not so far as to stop certian countries being able to vote for each other in the final.

If ppl wanted diversity they would have voted for our contestants (how rediculous it may have been, it sure as hell was something different).

yeah the only way you can win now is by sending in a load of dancers and singers wearing gorilla suits..
Or the scooter idea with 200 naked bitches!!
Britain do send in mediokre songs but they are still one of the best. I mean look at Russia's song.. it was hardly anything special.. sounded just like westlife and westlife are ******* ****!! seriously.. Most of the countires like yugoslavia and romania do well aswell because they are all firends and they all love transilvanian rock kinda thing..
Brisk and Ham - Crazy Love would win it
any Brisk and ham song would win it!!
