It could still be that... Doesn''t matter how good the equipment is it can still have/develop a fault.

Could also be a fault on your pair of headphones rather than a fault with the model.

Likely a wiring fault in either case (if this is the problem) that could no doubt easily be fixed.

LOL,

Abit off topic now are we? Also CMC get my name right and learn how to quote someone, and stop argueing with people/thinking you know your shit all the time, ok DJM600 might not be as great to the sound quality to the mixers you mention but why are comparing to something that is better and more high priced? DJM600 is fine in my opinion nothing wrong with the sound I dunno what problems you had with your one before, but meh... you make it sound like the DJM600 is a really bad mixer. LOL

/me finds a safe place to sit before the handbags start flying overhead ;-)

Seriously though, I doubt that it is down to the "audio quality" of the mixer, unless there is a problem with the wiring (which is possible - even the best mixers can develop faults). Although I would usually expect the bass to drop off first if that was the case. Correct me if I'm wrong though Euphory, but your not saying there is no top end, your just saying in an ideal world it could be louder?

You could do with heading down to your local DJ/music store to check some out for yourself - take yours along and do a side-by-side comparison. If there are no stores near you catering for DJs or engineers then try a hi-fi store - they often stock good quality headphones and I've seen the sonys in both hi-fi stores and even in HMV. Hi-Fi stores often stock the sennheisers too.

Hmmmmm, top-end meaning highs? The right ear of the headphone doesn't work so I'm only able to use the left ear but whenever I put the left ear in my right ear the percussion seems dull but when I put it in my left ear the percussions seem to be heard more clearly but... dunno why? Maybe it's cause my left ear is not used to it? Maybe the left ear of the headphones is not designed for the right ear? Maybe it's my headphones? I dunno. :(

Much as I hate to say it, but maybe you should get your hearing checked as well as checking your phones? :-)

Too much loud music - especially through headphones - can damage your hearing, and the first thing to suffer is the highs. The whole 20Hz - 20kHz range of human hearing is only really applicable to young kiddies - as you get older it drops down to 15kHz and lower.

Yep, sounds like you've blasted one of your ears mate... Follow overcircles advice and get them checked! You may even find it's just something silly like a wax build up and you need your ears syringed. I've had to have this done several times.

You can get special DJ ear plugs, might be worth looking into getting some of these to help limit further damage. Also, don't use head/ear phones for extended periods of time without a break.

Some people are born with one weak ear though, you may have always been like it and not noticed...

No clue what the real is problem is but yeh I'll get an ear checkup (fingers cross my ears not damaged) and maybe buy new headphones.

Also I noticed something today on the DJM600, when I'm beatmatchign near the headphones section it says 'cue' 'mixing' 'master'. Before it was on 'mixing' I changed it to cue and it seems to be louder and can hear abit more percussions now. But yeh... lol :(

Non of those Xone series sell here in Australia, so cannot compare. And what you trying to prove here CMC? Not gonna argue with you, think what you think and the end of the day it''''s your opinion and no one could careless about it. ) I guess your those big-headed lads. Ohwells...

Like the other guy said DJM600 works fine, nothing wrong with sound quality... I guess your one is just ****edup init. :P

PS: This thread was never about ''mixers'', so I think you should start ya own thread on your mixers vs. DJM600 instead of hi-jacking my thread. :)

DT 770 Pro's, hands down they are the best, industry standard, AMAZING Sound, really the only headphones that you can hear amazing bass, and even goes up to 35khz, so.... lol i can only hear up to 26k, they are also very comfortable too. They have some db block, 18 to be exact, and if your get the drum edition its around 35+db block, if you need it. But 0 db block if you don't have them on perfectly, thats the only flaw. Its 199 $ usd and i would give them a 10/10 rating, even for that quality it seems underpriced. Its those guys in Germany, just genius. Oh almost forgot it has the 1/4 inch jack and a 1/8, its a screw on thing, so you can use it in almost anything but phones/Iphones (works in Itouch though)
