What a ridiculous waste of all that manpower just for a small dodgy rave.

A single bomb dropped from a jet would have cleared the place much quicker!

Yea but these days those crazy ravers hide among civilians, it would have been a PR nightmare if they would have just dropped a bomb.

Thanks to our War on Drugs, this is what happens when people try to have a good time.

Or in the case of low-income urban communities what happens on the regular.

Good use of tax payers $$. :-/

Same thing happens over here. Party I was at the other weekend got raided by Riot police, Horse Units, Dog Units, Motorbike Units and a helicopter...

maybe promoters should call them parties not raves. raise abit less suspicion :P

in Australia this earns oneself a court appearance.

also, guns are more or less outlawed over here as well. funnily enough i almost feel safe.

Ive got a friend who is an ex-cop who pretty much said what brian K said. If a cop is questioning you be polite and answer them. if you dont, you will get thumped and then they will find something, albeit legit, to stick on you. he also said anyone who gives a cop crap almost always already has a record.

yea im always sure to kiss ass, or at least be friendly to a cop, just to be safe

oh, and even with guns legal and all i feel rather safe, considering that i live in white suburbia full of old people and the amish =P

buut, i can see the want to outlaw guns if your in the urban areas/projects. in the bad areas every kid over the age of 11 prolly has a gun. it would be real nice if they would strictly regulate fire arms, but it seems almost impossible to regulate them properly =\

No one really did anything illegal (maybe some drugs and all, but that's the druggie's fault, not the rave's) and cops had to come and be complete asses about the whole thing. Tasers? What???

These are a result of laws in our country that allow police officers to "get carried away" and encroach on our rights as citizens. They aren't fixed pieces of American society or law. Get out there and start changing it. :)

was on a UK tv show a bit ago. i can't remember what he was supposed to be arresting the girl for, think it were something of nothing, but he does go just a bit over the top.

Jesus, that is going a bit far for a drunk and disorderly....Mind you our cops can be quite bad, most people have had a little kicking in their cell from our boys in blue lol.
