im thinking about getting the pioneer cdj 800 and 200, along with djm 400
i'm just wondering does working with two different models/levels of technology get annoying or is it rather easy to adjust to?
thanks in advance :]

Not really about equipment, just get them those are good enough. It's Pioneer.
Even Pioneer's CDJ100's can do good but might need more tweaking to get it perfect than expensiver ones, It's all down to your mixing!

hmmm, its all well and good to get the cdj-200's early up. But why not just save up and get the CDJ-800's? They are a lot lot lot better deck and that way you dont end up replacing old gear and saving money overall? I know you cant wait any longer chances are but in the long run its financially better and you will get more satisfaction if you really save hard ;)

I have 2 x 800's I regret wasting my time saving them and buying em. When I could of got 100's for cheap and yeh. It's all down to your mixing I rekon, not much really to do with equipment...

well i cant land a good job, so my only way of makin money as of now is leveling/gearing up MMORPG characters. limited money makes me want to just get the cheaper gear

I don't know about the other 2 but with guitar centre you can normally get the price down a bit if you haggle with the assistants

I mix using CDJ800s and a DJM400, works perfectly for me and I have no regrets at all!
Although, if I could go back a few years I might of gotten the DJM800 instead...

if you have decks already, save your money and buy serato or the like.
cdjs are BORING and you have to make CDs aka more money.
the cdj 200s got old reallllllly fast for me, sold 'em under a year. the 800s might be better but i still felt like i was missing out on something.
get the mixer you're lookin at, but if you already have decks and vinyl, just spend the 500 or so dollars on serato (probably still cheaper than two 200s) and you can still use mp3s and you retain the fun-ness of actually spinning something, not just touching a boring jog wheel on a flashing box.
that's my two cents.

Buy the Pioneer cdj 400s instead. Not much diffrence between them and the 800s and 400s are cheeper.
On the 400s you can use flashdrives. ipod, harddrive and more to play your tunes from. Very fast and easy and you dont have to burn cds all the time.
It is also a midicontroller so you can use it with any software.
