This is probably aimed more towards the Americans on here, but Ya, I have decided that I want to start saving up for a pair of cdj's. Dont get me wrong, I love the vinyl, but its just cheaper in the long run to go with cdj's. So anyways, what all would I need? 2 CDJ's and 1 mixer? And I am not looking for anything too fancy, just something basic, but is good. I also want to mix at 175-180 BPM, so is there anything special I need to keep an eye out for? All help is appreciated!

Got ya sir. Yes, your going to need 2 CDJ's and one mixer, which will cost you a decent amount of money. Depending on how much you wana spend, your probably gonna wana head for CDJ200's or 400's. 200's will run you about 400 dollars and 400's will run you about 620 (for one deck).
Mixers, once again, it depends on how much money you want to spend. If you dont want to spend to much, go with a higher end Numark mixer or something Vestax. I have a Pioneer DJM400, which cost about 550, and is probably the best mixer for the price. But, it is indeed quite expensive.
Obviously, you know your going to need speakers, headphones etc. Its an expensive friggen hobby, but worth it if your going to stay with it ;)

Honestly, I was thinking that you got 2 CDJ's for like $300-$600, not $300 for 1 cdj. So ya...that will have to wait.

PIONEER CDJ800MK2's is the way to go! they are about $650-$700 and in my opinion are better than the 1,000's...(the 800's handle just like vinyl or you can set on CDJ setting) if your buying the pair your saving $800-$900 dollars. You can buy new mixers for about $90 (Numark dm1050) it will get the job done. There is no point in buying some cheap starters... you will be hooked and eventually get the 800's.
Good luck!

why?
I own a couple of cdj1000s and love 'em. have made my money back (and then some) by renting them out to parties =P
if you wind up purchasing...put more money in the cdjs than the mixer. when you're starting out you usually don't know what you want out of a mixer.

If you should choose between 800s and 400s, go for the 400s if you not really, really want the bigger plattern.
You get much more for the money on the 400s.

Lmao, agreed. The first reason comes extremely clear to you when you start using them, and thats the fact that the jog wheel ****ing moves while your trying to beat match. I find it near impossible to get a steady beat going !
