What is your take on songs such as:
K Complex - Adagio (originally by william orbit)
Hixxy - 1999 (originally by binary finary)
DHSS 2 - Are am i (originally by commander tom)
What is your take on these remixed tunes?
Are they better than the trance originals or just pointless disc fillers?

well seen as im a hardcore and trance lover i dont mind trance track remixed into hardcore.
some work well, some are pointless - you dont get many hardcore classics remixed into trance tho
one to look out for is darren styles - dropzone - mark eteson remix. this is a quality trance remix and is done really well

Love that tune!
I think Seduction & Joey Riot did a good job on Out Of The Blue

TUNE. But the original is Samuel Barber. ;)
I don't mind them tbh. While I like trance I've never listened to much stuff outside of Hard and Psy so I don't even realise they are remixes half the time. :P I have heard some nice Trance tunes slaughtered by the Hardcore treatment though.
Producers should bear in mind that some things that work at 130 - 140 bpm, don't at 168+.

No, originally by Samuel Barber, an american composer, in 1930's.

Beast of a tune!
I want to do a remix of Zombie Nation but instead of being modern, it will make Kerncraft 400 sound like a 1995 Bouncy Techno tune.
It might be known to a few of you that it was taken from a game from the 80s! It is called Kerncraft 400 by Zombie Nation, not Zombie Nation by Kerncraft 400!

Doing a remix of Kai Tracid - Liquid Skies. I'll have to sling you a copy of what I've done so far at some point mate. You've not been about on MSN much. :)

There have been some good ones (that K Complex one) but lots sound like they've merely been speeded up in something like Ableton. And if you do the reverse and slow down a modern Hardcore tune to Trance tempo it sounds like a Trance tune!

Hardcore remixes of Trance tunes are always shockingly bad. If they can't even come close to the original standard then they shouldn't even bother. The quality in comparison is just shocking.

love hertz on sunrise sound (i think) is a rip of an kai tracid tune. i believe is called "for just one day"
there's another hardcore cover of that tune as well, and the name escaped me.
and i also have to agree that Out Of The Blue was very well done

Most of them are poor.
