Hello everyone!
I don't post much here at all but am very into my happy hardcore, even though I don't know much about the scene at all.
I am looking for a recommendation for a mix CD (seperate tracks pref.) and thought this is the place to ask about it!
A CD containing the below songs would be great, but if not, something in a very very similar style with big tunes on it.. Preferably a well known CD so I can download and give it a quick try before buying it. The only album I have is the Helter Skelter Vs. Raindance Rave Nation The Anthems
In Effect & Gammer - We Come Alive
DJ Hixxy - I See The Light
I Am X-Ray - Pretty Rave Girl (Cheesy, I know.. But it's a good song!)
Peter Golderblom - Waiting For You (Billy Bunter & Sparky Rmx)
Bang! - Shooting Star (DJ Storm 2008 Rmx)

There is no "I See The Light" track by Hixxy, and the Hardcore version of "Pretty Rave Girl" is not by I Am X-Ray.

You can give it a quick try by going to netstore that sells CD's and listen the clips they offer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRWav8w0w2M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRWav8w0w2M (Read the Comments!) -------Ya...You clearly download your music. This is "You're My Angel" by 69, also known as Styles & Breeze. This is just a trance remix, the original is a UK Hardcore track. And it sounds like crap with "Neckbreaker" by Scott Brown laid out over the top of it because its not even the same tempo! Idiot. SADxCLOWN (3 hours ago) Well duh I downloaded it, who doesn't these days? Its all about limewire XP And who the **** cares who made it? It sounds awesome, thats the end of it. So go **** off and suck on a dick lol

Hang on, I said in the original post I don't know much about the scene at all... I want to get more into it and that's why I came on here for some advice.
I ALWAYS buy my music but I prefer CD's to mp3's as they're real and I like putting them in my CD rack.. Not knowing anything about the scene I'm not just gonna buy a random CD without knowing anything about it.
Is this community always this friendly?
Thanks for the advice whispering, that's just what I wanted but I can sense I'm not gonna get many recommendations out of this lot!

I randomly bought my 1st Happy Harcore cd, and havent looked back since. Just go to www.hmv.co.uk and type in Hardcore and check out the cds that pop up. The scene is built around the music. Where did you get all these mis-titled tracks then?

My sister played me that Pretty Rave Girl song
My friend said her favorite happy hardcore track is 'I See The Light' so I typed that into YouTube and it said it's Hixxy.
The other 2 or 3 songs are off the one Hardcore album I have got like I put in my first post and I bought that album for the Jungle mix it had on the first disc.
The one hardcore thing I have downloaded was a mix with that Ineffect & Gammer song from a recommendation in this thread:
http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=36317&SearchTerms=Gammer I never went back to check that thread and looks like I have an album recommendation in there which I won't even bother downloading as I've heard it before and know I like it. Straight to buying.

it was actually disc 2 lol, but if you want to buy a good hardcore cd get hardcore underground 1 or 2, and i think you would like bonkers 11 or bonkers 15 (as that is the one with see the light (sy & unknown mix) - paradise)

http://www.juno.co.uk is good for audio clips. Youtube is often good too, but as you've experienced people just slam their downloaded mp3's there, and too often they are mislabelled. Cant recommend many CD's though as most of mine are from 1994-2006. So not that upto date with the newer stuff.
