The first few replies - pathetic. Shame on you guys, discouraging a sincerely interested guy. It's perfectly typical to begin your journey by downloading stuff illegally. I'm not saying it's all right, but once he gets to know the scene, follow the releases etc., he'll most probably start buying. Get real.

Metallicker, check out the following album series:

- Bonkers (modern uk hardcore from vol. 8 on)
- Hardcore Nation
- Hardcore Underground
- Hardcore Heaven
- Hardcore Adrenaline
- Clubland X-Treme Hardcore

Good luck!

I ALWAYS buy my music but I prefer CD's to mp3's as they're real and I like putting them in my CD rack.. Not knowing anything about the scene I'm not just gonna buy a random CD without knowing anything about it.

Is this community always this friendly?

It's not that the site is unfriendly. Just everyone is against illegally downloading Hardcore.

To be quite honest Metallicker, you dont always have to buy your hardcore Compilations. Download set's & mixes off the HHC.com members that are DJ's. There are so many DJ's on here that have exeptional talent & great taste in Hardcore that, personally, I think they blow all these commercialised CD's out of the water. I know it's not the best thing to say, don't buy the compilations but I think that they are getting a bit greedy & spitting these albums out every other month & not putting enough time into the compilations themselves. I also find that a lot of the tracks on the CD's are just remixes of other track from a few year before. The DJ's on here never miss a new release so you could learn a lot from them. I've got a nu set below with sum Banging nu Hardcore & personally I think it's better than any of the commercial CD's but that might be my big head talking! lol

That Statement would make a lot more sense if there were actually loads of albums.

What albums have there been this year? I can think of two. I'm only aware of a handful more to come.

Oh, and I can't speak for other albums, but we literally bust our asses 24/7 to ensure any album we are involved with is the absolute best we can do at the time in the time. Always room for improvement, mind.

If you read my post from 2007 it was to get a track ID for one of the songs I wrote in my first post.
