I am happy to finally announce the launch of my new record label NSR RECORDS….Now I know what you are thinking….’Oh No, not another digi-label’, well no, that’s not what we are.
NSR Records is dedicated to underground hardcore, hard dance, gabber and bouncy house and whilst our first releases will be in the MP3 format, we are also going to be doing something very exciting which many labels have never done and that is the release of a full length UNMIXED compilation of the very best underground hardcore tracks for both DJs and listeners alike. This release is scheduled for November time, with a view to similar projects for the bouncy house and gabber arenas coming in 2009 and mixed compilations in 2010. We will also be looking at vinyl releases for our best selling tracks in 2009 and will constantly push the NSR tracks for appearances on the big name hardcore compilations as well as doing our very best to get our artists live bookings.
At the moment we are looking for producers who are interested in having their unreleased tracks signed up to a proper label that will treat them like professionals. haha Im not starting a label for my tracks, I am signing tracks off other artists who are good enough, i do production as a hobby.
Im not one of these people who are just starting a label to release my own tunes, i wanna release other peoples tracks that havent been released but should be, as there are alot of talented producers unsigned

Yes so just to be clear, I do not plan to release my own tracks (as they are not good enough lol) I want to find talented producers who want their tracks signed up to a label that will promote them properly, not just another digi-label, so im looking for prodcuers

How do you mean legit? Everything will be done properly, with written contracts and artists are entitled to royalities etc, i am currently trying to register as a business with the IR and set up a business account.
Ive also been receiveing advise from CDJay at RFU on how to do everything above board

i think is good you are doing all this, with all the legal stuff etc.
nevertheless IMO, if anyone wants to know who is this DJ Pharynx, the owner of NSR, and they go to myspace and listen your music (even if the tracks are not sign to the label)... it is very unlikely they are gonna take you seriusly as a profesional label.
personally, I would think twice. so you might want to think about that ;)
pd, the web site of the label is pretty well designed, so thats a plus.

Wow, way to encourage people to invest in the scene guys!
I say go for it. Yeah, perhaps people have a point, but no you shouldn't think twice because you are still learning the ropes production-wise. Just keep anything below the standard you want your label to be at behind closed doors as it were.
Just remember, keep it professional both in terms of quality and your attitude and you'll do fine.
