Ok so I have been using Reason 3 for quite some time now, it's very easy to use which is nice, however, I'm not very satisfied with the sound quality and i'm looking to switch over to either cubase of abelton.

Was wondering if anybody could make suggestions, and give some information about the differences.

I dont care about how easy the program is to use, i'm looking for quality

thanks

I've been fond of Ableton for live sets but prefer Mixcraft for soft computer sets.

As for music creation, Reason is okay but obviously not what the pros use. Not at this point you'll be looking for professional quality, because that costs (insert Logic Pro cost here) and thousands of dollars in equipment, but to be honest when it comes to amateur producing, FL and Reason are your best bets unless you have your own souped up MIDI keyboard with a lot of great presets on it, in which case Cubase could prove handy, but I'd say save up for Logic Studio Pro and get that.

I would go for cubase since you can rewire it to reason.the main attraction to it in my opinion is being able to use vsts.it doesnt have to be the most expensive version of cubase either for you to be able to rewire it to reason(and beleive me, you will want to).I know cuz I used to run cubase le(came with the software bundle on my soundcard) with reason 3 and got very good results.
