So has anyone except me heard about the whole rumor that the world can possibly end if what ever experiment going on in the UK goes wrong? Just heard about it today and I found it kind of funny, but then I got more of a scientific explanation and found it kind of interesting.
Thoughts anyone? Lets discuss this.

Yeah i heard about it too but i don't think the world will end soon, it might when they try to make those black holes though.

I thought we were being punished for something, what with all this rain! (Didn't have any nice weather this summer!  )
I thought it was because we have a looney in power but maybe we are being punished for something else! lol

Apparently thats what this project is supposed to create if it doesnt work properly. Although if it did, those holes wouldnt form for years and would take forever to suck everything into it.

have you heard about 2012......its been predicted by god knows how many peoplew that the world will end in 2012.....4 years away.....they coincide :O

Oh yeh, the world is going to end eventually, or at least life as we know it.
There is good evidence to support the theory that life existed here before the last ice age, 10,000 years ago.
The only reason that the human race has evolved this far is because the planet has remained stable for this long.
There is absolutely no reason to believe that it'll remain stable indefinitely so,
....we're all doomed. Probably sooner than you'd like to think.

umm the experiment is going on near geneva, not in the uk
I'm personally excited about it; it's the most complex and challenging scientific endeavor since the apollo program imo.
if the world ends tommorow I've atleast got the day off =P
