OK, so I think this is a pretty damn good forum and there are alot of cool people on here, we have got a hhc.com awards, collab between hhc.com members on mixes and tracks, production competitions, swapping msn addies, loads more stuff too! But we have never all got together in person to appreciate what we are all here for.....hardcore.
I thought it would be cool to hold and event in the UK for the members (if US and AUS members wanna do one in their country then go for it or if you are willing to have a holiday over here, then come along!). I know bugbear already suggested one in holland for 2010, but id like one over here too. All the DJs could be off hhc.com as could the MCs.
So how would we organise such an event? Well, with NSR and trying to push myself as an MC ive got alot on my plate but would happily help someone to organise it.
So we need:
A trustworthy, prefereably long standing and liked member to organise it (A DJ would be good, a few spring to mind but i wont name them)
Everyone who is interested in performing would need to contact them saying that they wanna be involved, where they live and how far they are willing to travel for the event.
Then calculate a good central location that is within most of the peoples travel area and find a venue (hopefully a member will live there and can recommend a venue)
Get a member to get some cheap flyers for the event made.
Sort a date and a venue.
Promoting the event (i think everyone would chip in for this)
The person who knows the area could post a list of hotels, b&bs, hostels for everyone to stop over.
I would recommend that the DJs and MCs dont get paid, and that the charge to get in the venue be about £4 or £5 to cover whatever and anything left over could be donated to the site? (silver could maybe state how much the donation to hhc.com would have to come to for him to come over and play ;) (of course this would be upto the organiser)
I think it would be a great way to meet everyone (all the hhc.com members could come an hour before the general public to get in the club early for a drink n 2 meet every1), and get to see all the talented members of hhc.com perform live. It would be something that we would talk about in the forum for aaaages! and something i think everyone would remember cause it would be better than any normal rave.
I dont think it would need money to kick it off cause you arnt paying people to play, you just need the equipment (i dunno who supplies decks etc at an event) and a venue (but you could try and get this on a basis where they will either just take bar sales if you promise 500 people thru the door or pay them after the event with any money)
Might be a dumb idea but just thought id put it out there, lets face it, lifes too short to **** about and do nothing

I like the sounds of that Redwings. i'd be up for helping out, deffo mate but couldn't take it all on board myself. I would be up for doing my part & if we get enough poeple to help out it wont seem like so much to take on. I run my own radio station myself aswell so i'm not up for taking it all on board but would be up for it! If anyone fancies helping me out i'd put the time in & get us goin. I've been interested in organising an event before but haven't got round to it yet but I like the sounds of the HHC.com crew meeting up & having a HHC.com UK event.
Also, what i'd suggest is having a HHC.com Vs Narcotic event cause i've got plenty of awesome DJ's on my radio station that would love to come & play but aren't HHC.com members. We could have the best of HHC.com battling the best of Narcotic Radio. Just another idea but yeah, put me down for this matey;-)

yeah, good call smoogie. I don't mind traveling down from sunny Glasgow as i'll need to get used to it for future events so i'll just jump on a plane & be there in no time man with my vinyls in one hand and a bottle of the finest buckfast in the other! Just point me to the decks! lol

cool!
Yeah i mean id be happy to help organise it, cause i think it could benefit my label too.
The HHC.com crew Vs Narotic Radio sounds like a decent idea 2!
As for venue, as i say, i think it should be a central point of all the djs and mcs involved, but if everyone is happy withit being down south then thats fine by me

dont make it down south, make it just north of birmingham so its relatively even for everyone to get there from the extremeties of the uk...
down south is a mission from manchester though

If the rave scene weren't completely f@#$ed in the arse here then this actually may be a possibility.
It's so hard for Aus Happy Hardcore ravers these days =(

One benifit for me is that we get Vergin trains from all over UK to Bournemouth Station! I supose every train network still has a link to London but if people want central I supose Birmingham as it is Midlands!

We have tried an australian meetup before but it did not end up happening. Its somewhat hard as Australia is so big as well!!.
This is basically the same concept as the Happyhardcore.com Camping trip that happened a while back but with a few decks, I mean it would be great if it happened! and im all for it, its just a pain in the ass to organise.
