organising is always a pain in the ass m8 :) but if ya gather nuff ppl who are willing to help ya out its not such a big deal. from hhc.com you prolly wont get much ppl for aussie.. go to hhc.at and you prolly gather shitloads of peeps who like to do a massive meeting/gig :) its all about sharing the heavy weight of organising that will make things happen ;)

UK seems like the place most likely for this idea to succeed, get to it!

seems damn near impossible for anyone in the US to pull off

A great idea but running a big successful night is hard work. I'd offer to have a bash at it but just don't really have the time and resources right now.

I think the chances of getting anywhere near a 500 strong crowd with no headliners at a first event is pretty much unachievable. As a new event with not so well know artists you would need to work your way up from nothing and generate a following, this will take time. I'd say you have a greater chance of success if you set a more realistic target.

Small venue 100-200 people maybe £3 odd to get in. If it barely costs on the door then you at least might get the local crowd as well as the people that will come off the site and their friends ( I don't think that'd be too many tbh). The best situation would be to try and get a warehouse or permission to use a field and put a marquee up. Location would be very important too! There has to be a local hardcore scene or it will flop big time. Need to start to advertise at least 2 months prior to the event as well.

There is also licenses and stuff to consider... You can get round this though by taking "donations" on the door and having it as a "private" party. Depends how you want to play it I guess. Best not to get into that on here though. :)

I'd be happy to help anyway I can. Me and my mates have got speakers and lighting but getting it half way across the country would present a challenge!
