I don't think the Lib Dems are ready by any stretch to get into governmnent, but they are getting there! Personally I would like to see a three-way competition, it would liven things up a bit and give politics the kick in the butt it needs to shake itself up a bit!

Whoever is in power though, please lets invest in manufacturing and engineering though for crying out loud. We are losing nuclear new build to the frogs - just think what that could do to the economy if we had won it! Manufacturing is a much safer investment as recent months have shown. I am currently not concerned for my job, unlike many of my friends in the service sectors!

I agree!

Aye, I actually get on better with people I disagree with. More to talk about!

The last time the lib-dems were in power was 1906-1918 - and they did an alright job for a party that were always second best to conservative. all the while, in the modern day, it is questionable towards whether they have the capacity to win and the experience to be the governmental body. however, with labour and conservative making a mockery of themselves, people may go extremist and vote lib-dem. if lib-dems win, we may be a bit more capitalist with their 'liberal' idea's. also, they'd have allot of trouble trying to do stuff without ignoring their traditional beliefs of liberalism. remember the 'wait and see' asquith? it'll be like that...
