Great comments, cheers lads. It seems like Marc Smith is on top over the past few years by getting Lethal Theroy up & running & has doffo made his mark with an even newer sound of hardcore. I'm sure Scott has plans though! lol
95 was the time - Marc Smith is Scottish aswell & we're not ignorant You're ignorant for thinking that! lol

dunno ken, joey is some producer man, some of his tracks are absolutely amazing,
As for production i would say at this very top 5 in the game are
1. dougal & Gammer
2. Breeze and Styles
3 Scott Brown
4 Joey riot and Dj Kurt
5. Hixxy

yeah man, Joey Riot makes sum great stuff but there's always a point when he sells out & makes sum real cheesy stuff & I just can't go it man! I've seen him live a few times & he is one hellova DJ but some of his set's out on CD's are tooooooo cheesy for me. I hate having to skip a hardcore set.
When u think of guy's like Scott Brown & Marc Smith, they really have kept it real over the years & never got too cheesy just to sell cd's & tracks. They stuck to their own styles & it's really paid off for them. Also when you think of what Scott Brown & Marc Smith have done for the scene over the past decade+ u see that Joey Riot has alot to live up to & in this commercial scene we have now. There's not a lot of spare rope for these guy's to try new styles or techniques cause sales conquers all these day:-(

well Scott makes all kinds of hardcore, Fall into your arms was a bit of a cheesy track and scot makes gabber too, marc has always been in about mad hardcore and i like his style these days, Heard a track him and architect made not sure of the name of it but it was cracking.
I think to be fair you really need to produce a wide range of music these days, If you stick to 1 style of production you wont last long, people would get board of the same sounds, so i think you really need that cheesy element too to be successful,

Scott brown.
IMO I love his style he's made loads of good tracks over the years I like his new ones terminate(especially!),sex machine and the bass x ones hope hes got more on the way!
Marc smiths still awesome as well and I also like his mad style!
They were great b2b on bonkers 17. Both went together real well the mix had loads of styles. Hope they do something like that again. Be even nicer if they made some more tracks together again!
