Reason 4.0, Cubase. FL8, basicaly any DAW will do, Just need to make sure you get the right sound packs for the kind of music you want to make.

personally i was using aoe2 right up to the point that AOM came out....it took me ages to get used to AOE3..
...now im using rise of legends and ROL is just as good as AOE2 for those hardcore beats

Well, its all a matter of taste - the AOE lot are clearly into the old school beats of yesteryear.
If you want something fresh and to keep it real then I suggest the latest version of The Sims!

Start>run>cmd>cd..>cd..>Format c:/system32 lol don't do this tho lol might cause serious damage lol.
