I dont think a letter is really going to do any good anyway I think the only way to stop people file sharing is to fine them

true but that aint hard 2bh all you have to do is get their ip address & then you can locate them.

if there is proof then ban him, Also u should log his IP address and ban it from the store so he can't get anymore tracks,
CLSM deserve the money there tracks they work hard on them,

shame on the producers man, some people have no respect for the scene at all and do sh^% like that man, I don't mind giving my tunes out to people and i do it a lot but i would hate to see some of my tunes that I have for sale go up on one of these sites.

well, i guess you guys had it figured out. that is wack that he bought them then gave them away so quickly. i just don't understand why someone would do that, since it doesn't really gain them anything in return.

File sharing is far too major and widespread now to be stopped regardless of what they threaten people with. Lord knows I'd be paying for several hundred life times over if they fined me...

In 2004, the police raided here about 30 people (mostly admins and mod's) of a finnish site called Finreactor. Some got fined for 1500-3000€. The raid was made cause of Microsoft, Adobe, Disney, EA, Symantec, AutoDesk and a bunch of other companys. Dont think much changed after that though.

There is a bit of confusion here- this guy just downloads the stuff and isnt getting anything from the store. There is a seperate issue which Compulsion is on about where across a few stores there are a few people that buy and then share the tunes.
On a lot of the sharing forums they encourage people to buy the tunes if they like them, but it just doesnt work out that way.
