One of the Scott Brown's choons I like is Enlightned the riffs on it are amazing and a couple of remixes he has done.
Bonkers 11 & 15 was two of his best mixes he did.

I can't understand for the life of me why hardcore producers have to have so many aliases.

I know in the past a lot of producers done it to make the record label seem
bigger than what they were at the time...
like moby years back when he first started out doing techno he signed to a new record label
but he was the only producer they had..so he had 7 different aliases with the same
label to make them appear they were the new up and coming big label in order
to attract more producers etc to sign with them...

the reason producers use different alias' is so that when you think of a producers name, you think of the style that they make, this way you can relate the sound to the producer easier
imagine if you recommended scott brown (uk hardcore) and there were 4 different styles of music he did but only used one alias, the person would probably give up and wouldn't look any further if the first few songs they found were gabba

I can understand you, if you dont like his music don't listen to it, why does he have to quit? Its not like he's hurting hardcore by making music you dont like. If anything you should quit topics like this.
You offer nothing in terms of what is good hardcore music just hate. Your entitled to your own thoughts and opinion but when you can't backup your statement with "like this other good music" doesn't help your case.

I agree! I don't really listen to his latest stuff but compared to alot of the others who have been around for years, he still has it in him! I do rather his older stuff but I like alot of his 03-05 stuff as well! Don't think much of Nu Style Gabber but can handle it compared to anyone else! Then again his old Gabber stuff off Twisted Vinyl was top quility!
I would love to meet him in person, it seems he is a sound guy! I would say he has to be one of the biggest impacts on the scene ever & brought the UK scene together from what was once a devide (English Breakbeat & Scottish Gabber/ Bouncy Techno) & brought the Scottish sounds to Europe & Gabber into the UK!
Read old interviews & you will see how respected he was!
Listen to my Scott Brown mix for some classics & wait until my next mix is up with loads of Scottish Bouncy Techno from Scott Brown & his groups such as Bass X, Q-tex, Bass Reaction & his Genaside aliases! (there will be other artists in the mix as well)
