cheers for the feedback Firefly! I appreciate it mate.
I like the idea in a way as it opens up the experimental gates again & gives us the excuse to produce tracks in a no holds barred fashion. I'm certainly going to give this a go & see what I can come up with.
Also, have you got anything in the pipeline Firefly? I've always been a big fan of your style mate & love the styles of freeform you've released in the past. Keep em coming!

Definitely dance music needs to get the experimentalisation back in!

darker experimental side to hardcore.. As was trancecore, as was Freeform ( Go Sharkey )
That side of hardcore pushes the limits and doesn't let us wallow in cheese or the retro. We need it as much as the remix of Chilli Peppers or the Friends sound track.
I remember Rave..all influences welcome..you maybe distorted, messed up or just enjoyed.
That's what made Dance great..no fear. Genre by natural tells us what something is, unfortunately then it stays that way, thus... Garage was not now what is was, nor is Jungle..remember the Reggae in Hardcore Rave.
Back to roots means Unity and acceptance..easier said than done.

Hardscape is Freeform with more Jungle influence, more than just breakdowns - jungle and dub bassline replace the common off-beat bass, specific for happy hardcore, am I right?

Hardscape (atleast the stuff I remember CLSM was trying to make) where Hardcore that resembles Hard Dance more than Freeform actually does. Considering CLSM went back to produce breakbeat, I think it fail to hit market... which imHo is the greatest thing that happened, cause I for one didn't like it.

I can't even remember what it sounded like but can remember saying at the time it just sounded like freeform

I've never heard of Hardscape. Anyone have some links or names of Hardscape tunes?
If Hardscape has a heavier bass than Freeform, I think I'd really like it.

Hardscape was awesome. A good attempt at a different direction of hardcore that more or less failed. Unfortunately. A Dj Cotts hardscape mix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=038LbYbbCSE Some names in this thread that have gone missing since 08.

Thanks for the link. Sounds like Freeform with a slight Breakbeat. I think it's great there are more genres being made within Hardcore. The more different things people try, the healthier it is for the scene. Even Filthcore, although some people don't like it. I'm sure it's added more fans. More new ideas and influences in Hardcore the better.

Ofcourse more varirity (?) is better, but not when the DJ's force it down our throats, or that the newcomers doesn't start listening to the other styles :/

I've not heard massive amounts of 'Hardscape', but as the name suggests, Hardscape I would think is more along the lines of a soundscape (i.e. Atmospheric) with a Hardcore influence. Where as Freeform (nowadays) is pretty much anything that's Hardcore tempo that doesn't fit into the Hardcore paradigm.
