Woolworths Closure (and now zavvi)

yes you do - i was chattin with my lady about your woolworths when i posted that :)
she was trying to think of a store in ausland which is like our woolworths..

i might add - im kinda pissed right now cause i just went in woolworths and they are really doing the whole money grabbing thing!

signs all over the place saying "closing down, everything reduced, everything must go"

yeah - well, suspiciously enough dvds i bought last week for £3 are no £5! and theres signs everywhere giving details of "discounts"

"dvd reduction prices:
£10 = £7.20
£7 = £5
£5 = £3"

these basterds have just put the price up and then put signs giving the reductions - which put the prices back to what they were originally. GRRRRR

I aint really bothered about woolworths i never go in there...last time I did people were queing out of the door because they only had one person on the checkout so people were putting their stuff down and walking out

I think most stores that are going out of business pull scams like that. I mean for example there was a Furniture Facotry Outlet around here that had a suede couch thing for $699. They had marked it down constantly until it was finally $549 but when we came there when it was going out of business, the couch was going for $699 with a giant sign on it yelling "SAVE %15! EXCELLENT VALUE, MUST GO!"
