Yeah, happy Bday dreem! Hope you have a good one mate

I don't really want to come across the wrong way here mate but I think thats shocking whats shes doing. Going to a club where shes probably been so many times to sit & listen to some dj playing tunes where the 2 of them can get pissed all night.

Its not like its her favorite band she was planning to see with her mate or like shes hasn't seen her mate in ages & they planned to meet up ages ago. This is just a silly little night on the town &, at the end of the day, means absolutely nothing!

Can you imagine what it would have been like the other way round!?!?

Infact, if I was you mate, i'd give it a go come her Bday & see how shes feels but thats probably why i'm still single!

There is another alternative.

You could be like me, don't hold any great store by your birthday, it's just another day,

....then you won't be so disappointed.

I'd also wonder why she was keen to move in.

She's not being made redundant from work, or being kicked out from where she lives or.... f*ck knows?!
it could be anything but what you think or what she says.

I don't know the girl but....?

I wouldn't go so far as to say you're getting more CYNICAL as the years go on... How about pessimistic?
