Probably work out to Hardcore lol!
I don't know if he does, but Hardcore makes for amazing work-out music, especially the high energy BB/NG stuff! You can literally run on the bpm of the track.

It's all about Eurodance for working out :P
But I'll admit that hardcore has it's moments. Depends on the type of workout.

considering you also pay for their flights and hotels, why would they expect you to pay more for them as well?
my company has paid a lot of money to big name hardcore talent, none of which i'm willing to detail on this forum, but lets just say, 350 pounds is a screaming deal. if that is all that gammer charges that is.
and also to audio x, if it weren't for hhc.com, if you were to approach me for a booking and asked for more than a hundred bucks and i'd never heard of you, i'd tell you to get fcuked.
*edited to say*
that came off kinda wrong, i don't mean you personally, just someone in general that had tracks out yet had no draw and no west coast presence at all.
Exactly.
I could understand charging more if he had to travel all the way to Canada for ONE booking one weekend, but I've rarely seen big names come to NA for one booking. They usually have 2 or 3 in a weekend. That negates any time wasted travelling.
Again, booking aren't about how many tracks you have out or anything like that. There's DJs in Ottawa that have ZERO (and I mean ZERO) draw that have numerous top notch tracks out. They don't play out often, don't go to raves, don't hand out promotional material, etc, so nobody knows who they are. Few people are music nerds like we are in the rave scene.
When I go in promotional stunt mode I hand out HUNDREDS of CDs at every rave I go to, and then I get LOADS of bookings. Makes sense - I talk to hundreds of ravers, they have something to remember me by (and I make sure it's ****ing good!), so when they see my name on a flyer they go "sweet! I'm there!". That's what it's all about. Draw.
But if I'm playing in my home town, I'm considered a local so I can't ask for anywhere near as much money as a headliner (even though, there's been many occasions where I've brought way more people in than the headliners...because of all my self-promo).
So, Audio X, you probably shouldn't charge more. I mean, 100, 200, 250 even, is totally fair for a local depending how much draw he has. BUT finding locals that deserve that is...hard.
Out of town is a different story - for some reason geographic location strongly influences booking fees :P

P.S.
mind you, it's good to know that some Producers/DJs do what they're told
....even if their Lord & Master is crap at replying to emails.

yeah, i always wondered what kind of personal lives they have.
someone like... darren styles for example, is he living in a mansion on a beach, does he have a boat etc? or does he live a more meager life...
are these "superstars" as "rich" as mainstream artists?
other than that, i'd imagine these people are (fairly) normal.
Oh yeah cos like Scot Brown's getting in Cat Knights pants
I doubt any of them are living in mansions and have boats to be honest.
They're not making millions... From hardcore anyway...
Learn to quote. I can't even tell if you made a reply - and if you did, i don't know which one is yours hahaha
