Nothing really interesting happened IMO. There were a few unsettling things like Impact quitting but not much.
Hope 2009 will be better...

Hmm, I would say this year was kind of a rutt. Bankrupts, lack of albums, not many releases. I would say "Hardcore Nation: Next Generation" was one of the bigger albums out this year, and I really enjoyed the new "Hardcore Til I Die" Album, besides disc 3. I kind of feel that 2009 will begin with an equal start for both more commercial albums, and more underground talent with the release of "Hardcore Underground 3" and "Bonkers 18"(depending if AATW doesnt change the style)".

Some good tunes out in 2008. 2008 i can see more of a bassline and drum and bass influence

I didn't really like much stuff from this year. Alot of the music this years is so samey. Hopefully 2009 will be a better year.

I thought it was ok, but what just annoys me is lack of actual EP releases or constantly delays. Tracks take FAR too long to come out.

Releases were WAY to slow this year..which made it so nothing really good came out.
2009 should be awesome.

to be honest,i havn`t herd that much hardcore this year...slowly gettin back to listening to it
mostly been listening to oldskool hardcore (all genres) and my usual trance and chill,
but i should be more up on the new stuff this year....

It has been really good! I came across alot of really good tracks this year, none of them are from 2008 though. Other than then 'Bassline/ Rock n Bass' stuff that the bandwagen jumpers have been doing it is same old same old stuff as back in 2005! Trance rifts, vocals, no hard kicks, bad remixes of good old tunes...
I have started producing now, so, hopefully 2009 will be a good year for Hardcore. But please do not merge it with Electro House!
