It has been brought to attention that the government wish to consider it a legal requirement in the new tax year to introduce laws insisting anyone applying or re-applying for an entertainment license must have a noise control device fitted to the venue. This will be the final NAIL for ALL entertainment in the UK as the level at which these devices CUT you off is dreadfully low and damaging.
PLEASE DO NOT INTRODUCE THIS LAW, WE LOVE LIVE MUSIC!
Please sign the following petition to let Number 10 know that the people still love loud music!!!
If this law is introduced it will be devastating for ANY rave events that rely on quality loud sound systems such as the Valve, Ninebar & Funktion One to bring the vibes to the rave. Imagine trying to go to a rave with no bass :( ...it doesn't even bear thinking about.

The level that they cut off is not always the same regardless... 95% of rave venues in the UK already have sound restrictions set up. This wont make a blind bit of difference. :P It's no doubt to stop clubs/pubs that are in a residential area from disturbing their neighbours.

I suppose it all boils down to how you define "noise control".
If it's just a case of nightclubs fitting cavity walling etc, to help cut down the noise pollution on the outside, then that's fair enough. If they're trying to cut down the volume INSIDE the club, then that's where there are problems.
I hate being in a club where I can speak to my friends without having to shout. Shite sound systems in clubs destroy the night, IMO. I'm not just referring to raves with that, I mean clubbing in general.
