would agree that this will KILL the rave scene. actually kill it with no questions asked. **** the government if they think this is even a remotely good idea.

I've been looking into this and I really don't think it will have any effect on any venues currently used for raves.

The idea of it is to stop noise pollution in residential areas. Venues where raves are held are not in or even near residential areas. They will not need stupidly low levels set on their sound restrictors. As I've already said, most big clubs already have sound restrictors with a suitable level for the building/location already set.

TBH I'd be pretty pissed off if a pub/club opened up near me and had ****ing loud music every night. This is to stop that from happening, not to kill the rave scene or any other music scene.

This might not be such a bad thing as it might help us getting ears ripped to fcuk!

Some sound systems in clubs i've been to are a joke! Go too close to the speakers & your ears a re crying! It's got to be sorted before things get worse.
