Is anyone else here pissed that all the major news outlets in the US can only talk about the plane crash in the hudson? I mean just for example, this morning on good morning america all two hours of it was just shit about the plane crash. And ABC is doing it with world news tonight too. Makes me mad because they are completely neglecting all other events.

dont even get me started. the media sucks.
when i was in the states i was annoyed that they barely ever reported stuff about england, now im back in england im even more pissed off because our media here are VERY preachy..

in fact the BBC are now being investigated (finally) about their bias when it comes to the coverage of the Gaza conflict - they need to be investigated on much more than just that bias - you should have seen the constant coverage on obama and clinton.

at least in the states you know you are watching republican or liberal media - they are very obvious about it, over here the BBC claim to be un-biased when they clearly are!

you see...

.....wait a second, i said dont get me started! :P

As of this moment it's not finalized and to be honest I'd be surprised it it does go through.

To be fair City are a mid table side this season at best. Maybe next season they can do something but this season they won't do anything. So far in the Jan window they have been linked with loads of players but most of them are players that are average at best when you compare them to what they can potentially buy. Although they have the money like it or not City don't have the pulling power that other teams have.

Rayovac, if you want real news do not go and look at GMA or any show related to it, or even the news on world news tonight and other versions of it. those shows work on more of an emotional appeal. watch your local news because even tho they will talk about the plane crash, they will also give u a rundown of what else is happening locally and around the nation. in fact most of the local news that is covered is covered because it is the news that will appeal and affect you more.

and something positive??? yea right! the only type of positive news that you will ever see on the news that is deemed important and informative enough to report is something like "doctors fine cure for AIDS" or something else to that level. even though news is there to be informative to the viewer, it also has to draw attention to it as well. and as much as we get tired of the negative stuff out there, it does catch our eyes and ears. but there is something to be said about overkill.

i'm a mass communications major and ther is just so much more i can get in2 but i don't wanna bore y'all i hated some of those classes

o and most importantly, FOX IS EVIL!!!

Rupert Murdoch is nothing more than a dictator in disguise. his news always portrays liberals in a negative way and always presents its news with a conservative view in order to change a person to those views. FOX and News Corp are a perfect example of what is wrong with today's journalism

I never really watch any news on TV. Although I turned the TV on this morning and got kind of distracted with other tasks so I ended up listening to them rambling on the same thing over and over for 2 hours. My mom usually watches WNT and she was helping me with some schoolwork at the time so that's why I saw that worthless broadcast.

but you see, this is just one of the things that is great about america - you have a freekin choice! if you dont like that - you can change to CNN...or even msnbc

most the news channels over here spout exactly the same shit cause they are copying everything from the BBC....

news is not supposed to take sides, even though conservatives enjoy watching FOX because it benefits their ideals. it is supposed to be unbiased and report facts, and then the viewer should be able to form their own opinion on the matter without having it being influenced by the opinions of the News Channel.

i do see how you are getting at, that the choices here on news channels is an example of being free on whatever you watch. but this creates competition against news, and I don't really believe that news should be competitive. and because of the competition it creates such sensationalist channels like FOX and confuses viewers into thinking that their news reporting tactics are better, which they aren't.

I don't see the bias that you speak of. The Obama/Clinton thing was massive as the one who came out on top was basically president by default, and the Gaza thing is also massive.
