i dont think this was even a remix of coldplay's version since the vocals were resung, and every other element re-made. its basically an E.A. cover version init

Cover. That's what i meant to say not remix. Yeah the track was based on Coldplay's, but like you say pretty much every element of it is different.

It sampled the lyrics of the chorus and one verse iirc, and even those were re-sung. It samples the chord progression and piano bit in the breakdown but so what? Hardcore was built on samples, if your gonna debate original artists ripped off by Hardcore artists, Wilky, you'll be here for a very, very long time.

^^^ If they were resung, then they weren't "Sampled". The word you are looking for is "Interpolated". Sampling is use of the actual source recording.

/nitpick

Edit: Great track though! Although I probably wouldn't sell it if I were you, if you don't have an agreement with Evil Activities.

Cheers mate, was wondering what the word was. I knew they weren't sampled, but covered, or "interpolated"

I flipped out when I heard the Coldplay lyrics. The Scientist is one of my favorite songs of all time!

Im aware of this, im sat right next to a calender as it happens. Are you trying to say we should have all grown up and stopped "nicking" other people's material by now?

Not bad remix I supose. Dosn't match the 'Happy' remixes of my old Gabber favorittes (no hard kicks ) But at least it was better than any 'Nu Style' Gabber track! The rift was ok, was that from the original? I have heard it before once...

I like it but after listening to the original, I can't say it's any different really, except a different kick. The gabber kick in the original has an annoying out of key reverb that pisses me off so this is a nice remix.
