ok well im gona go to college soon, less than 2 years.
i wanted to go in to audio engineering, but i dont know what type of class i should start in.
do you have any suggestion what to go into?
im going to major in computers tho, this would be a minor.
i want to do like recording bands/artists, and mastering...stuff like that.
what would i need to go into?
btw ill be from 16-18years when i will be in college (im 16 in a few weeks) and i can and will have a scholarship, and this in in the states so plz dont say go out of the states lol.

I'm a Computer Engineering major (way to go if you're in computers, computer science limits you too much), if your high school offers an audio electronics course take it. Learning the basics of electronic sound is the hardest part, something as simple as a compressor can be intimidatingly complex.

The Handbook of Recording Engineering will cover most of the basics of what an acoustics engineer would do, it's a tough read but pick it up at your library and browse through it.

I'm at RIT. Don't go here if you want a life.
