List what programs you use on your computer. List the name, purpose and if its free. The only aim of this topic is to give possible suggestions about good programs to other people. Also its a good thing to first list the operating system. I'll start.
Operating system: Windows XP Home
Internet Security: F-Secure Internet Security
Web browser: Opera (Free)
Email: Opera (Free) and Thunderbird (Free)
Audio player: Winamp (Free) for random files. Mixcraft when i want to timecompress the tunes. Currently searching for a "music library" style player, since iTunes turned into a piece of turd.
Video player: Winamp (Free), Media Player Classic (Free) and VLC Player (Free).
Video codecs: CCCP Project (Free)
PDF reader: FoxIt Reader (Free)
PDF printer: PDF Creator (Free)
Office: OpenOffice.org (Free)
FTP: FileZilla (Free)
CD/DVD burning: CD BurnerXP (Free)
Messaging: ICQ (Free) and Skype (Free)
File compressor: 7-Zip (Free)
Image editing: Paint Shop Pro
Video editing: havent yet found one
DVD cataloging: DVD Profiler

Internet Security: kaspersky, hijack this (kinda for security)

Audio player: winamp, and itunes (for fixing my crashed pod)

CD/DVD burning: power iso(dvd/back ups/games), winamp (music cd's)

i think thats it, not sure whats on my other os's this was for my xp, i know my hackintosh has wayy differnt things than my windows or my ubuntu dose lol
