seeing as how some ppl thought the other topic was about this, i might as well start it. any of y'all excited 2 c the olympics coming? have any favorite opening/closing ceremonies from past olympics
found some youtube playlists that feature pretty much the whole thing for many of the olympics from the past 20 years.

but lets be fair, anyone could do fancy events having a HUGE army of slaves
... and you know what would be cool? an OLYMPIC RAVE!!
damn that would b ideal. and i would not be surprised that such an event might happen. i mean come on, who would want to miss an opportunity like that to have a rave at the same time during the olympics!
and as far as china is concerned, i do think that it was spectacular because of the excessive amount of technology in it, but yet it seemed rather cold and impersonal. To me Sydney ceremonies were the best because they had such an amazing opening ceremony and it was also fun the audience as well as the performers looked like they were having the time of their lives

Back when they were in Sydney, reports say its the emptiest the city has ever been. I wouldnt know, we had buggered off as well.
The prank during the closing ceremony at Sydney is probably my favourite Olympics moment that i have seen

"The world's top DJ, Tiesto, performed a 90 minute set at the 2004 Olympics in Athens"
this is where his set starts. they also show him and briefly talk about him starting at about 4:00 in2 the video. it's funny that they assume that he's a greek dj just because he's playing there
o and b4 u assume these are american commentators, they are not. they are canadian. and if you wanna hear the whole set then look up user name rockies77 he has the whole parade of nations video, which is 11 videos

im not overly fond on him when it comes to trance, can think of loads of trance producers i prefer.. his mix of adagio for strings wasnt a patch on ferry corstens remix of william orbits
i did like "sparkles" or at least one version of it...
he seems to have done an awful lot of remixes compared to doing his own stuff
i love his remix of pirates of the caribeen theme though it did sound a bit messy
**edit**
no wonder - it was the transa remix of sparkles i like - its on Meltdown 2000 - what a great compilation!!!!
