It's nothing of the sort. It's a thread that I made to get things off my chest about how I'm feeling with the music and this site. And this kind of response is the kind of shit that I'm talking about with "attitude". Why be such a tosser?

It's no wonder people don't bother making threads anymore.

Every time i've made a post about ANYTHING personal on this forum, i've received the same criticism mate.

What people don't understand is that this is a COMMUNITY, not just a forum. I've made plenty of freinds i talk to on a regular basis for this site.

Maybe people need to realise if you learn personal things about the community, then you will find what they post a WHOLE lot more interesting.

Coincidently i feel almost exactly the same as you mentioned in your post.

I know what you mean mate. There are alot of members who used to have great input and really know alot about hardcore and everything else, that just dont seem to be here anymore.
It also is annoying when you comment on other peoples threads or help them out with an i.d and they dont ever seem to comment back to your threads. I am at the stage now where I seem to be lucky enough to have a few people who will always read, comment, listen and even buy stuff from the NSR posts like Meathead, bulby, ionosphere, ken masters, fingaz, and their support is invaluable to me.

Where do you go.......This probably isnt the best bit of advice seeing as what I do, but start your own label. Thats what I did, I wanted to learn more about music, meet new people in the scene, make friends and contacts in the scene and NSR is doing that for me.
I dont mean a digi-label. Try and get a couple of producers that you respect and release vinyl. That way you are controlling what is being released and it will be music that you love and you will definitely meet like minded people.

I know what you were saying about money and I know you have a family so it may not be feasible but its just an idea.

You are definitely one of the most respected and knowledgeable members of this board. Newbies come all the time, make 200 posts and then leave again, but people like you, me, ionosphere, bulby (audio warfare), ken masters, dain-ja, hard2get, fingazmc, smoogie, spoox, leto, whittle, brianK, silver, whispering, meathead, andy-influx and countless others, we will be here till the bitter end lol, because we love it. There are a few people on this forum that I really dont like and dont have the time for, but they will not be here forever because i think alot of peopl feel that way, whereas you are liked.ate

^^^^ I got a mention as one of the regulars lol

Seriously though Mortis, i know where youre coming from. The music isnt what it used to be and in some ways nor is the site. There are a few dickheads - proven by the usual suspects in this thread! But like Redwingz said there are still us "regulars" who know and respect you. Who know you that youre a bloody good DJ too, im with Ionosphere on this i always look forward to hearing your mixes man (was listening to one in the gym the other day). Fair enough if you want to leave (im not sure if you do) but people are still here to have debates, listen to your problems and do what they can to help.

This website and the music have also helped change me as a person, i dont know what id do without them (sounds pathetic but its true), 'sept probably spend a hell of a lot less time on the web lol.

The only thing i can suggest is take a break. Listen to other music, ive drifted in between a few dif genres when im sick of the twaddle thats pumped out of the majority of hardcore artists, leave the site for a few days or whatever, recuperate. If you do though, make sure you come back yeah

Welcome Mortis. I've saved you a seat at the table of realisation, we've all been expecting you for a long time.

Maybe it is a phaze? I don't even bother listening to new stuff anymore. Not what I want so im always discovering old classics! Don't give up though. Maybe you need a break from things? I feel like that at times. I have no interest in mixing, don't want to listen to anything & then all of a sudden I get back into it.

Your a respect member of this site as far as im concerned. Your mixes that I have heard have been good & you have helped me out & im sure others!

It will be a shame to see another 'Old Skool Hardcore Head' leave the site!

Im going trough some hardship as well, split up from my girl & feel down but the music is getting me through. Give it next week & I will be throwing youtube videos of some classic tunes at you all!

I don't listen to hardcore as much as I used to do. I used to listen all the time, and around two years ago I started to expand to other genres; not just EDM, but rock and funk music too. I also used to go to an event every week or two, and I slowly tired of it.

I'm now starting to listen to it a lot more (and I went to an event the other week), but it's only really older freeform stuff, nothing new is making me jump and and start making dance around randomly in front of the computer. This doesn't apply to people like Oli G, Darwin, Cube::Hard and CLSM, who always have, and always will make good hardcore.

Just like you Mortis, this music shaped me and will always be a part of me and I think this is why I didn't stop listening and caring full stop.

As for the site, it is a lot different to what it was when I first joined. Most of the regulars I know and that know me have gone. Topics in this General Discussion forum are a lot more low grade, and we need someone with a STFU stick, to be honest. :P
