to be honest..
their aguments are so well matched... i mean.. this really should be one of the 'behind the scenes' things.
when most dj's withdraw, they keep the nitty gritty bhind the scenes, for the good of the community and the state of hardcore.
though i and everyone else loves drama, i dont think anyone can take sides, now that ive seen the other side of the dispute.
whilst alex's opinion may have truth, it should be of the communities concern.

Sometimes you have to lift the cat to the table.
Main reason why usually stuff like that happen is because people dont discuss them openly. Transparency is the key against corruption.

Here are some interesting parts of UFO's reply
quote:
Stormtrooper being ripped off?
Alex is refering to payments for the True Hardcore 2 album. An album that didnt make any money whatsoever because the company that released it "GUT RECORDS" went bancrupt.
I Myself had numourous tunes on that album and never received a penny. Jeff never received a penny.
NOBODY RECEIVED A PENNY.
quote: I think you all should stop bitching about "TOP TIER" djs like they are bad people. The fact is that they are on the top tier because they actually do have talent and thats why lots of ravers pay
their money to come and see them play. If you had an event without these people in the main room then no **** would show up for it and it wouldnt be long before there was no scene at all.
If you had a main room with no top tier people and just the names you lot like on here there would be an USH.NET convention with 20 or 30 of you stood there like stunned ****s and no punters and
whoever was promoting the event would lose lots of money. Ponder himself used to book all the people you lot villify on here for his events as he knew he had to get punters through the door.
I agree that there are loads of people with the same or more talent than these people but its not a conspiracy that they dont get ahead.
Who knows why some talented people dont make it to the top?.. maybe its cuz they spend all their energy on forums like this ****ing people off and moaning that they are better than the top boys
and should be booked over them instead of stopping moaning and getting off their asses and making tunes that a majority of people like.???
I think our music (although no one likes it on here) is innovative and forever changing, unlike some people on heres GENERIC MOANING.
Alex evidently seems to be a bit bitter and twisted and knew by putting up an "IM QUITTING" post on myspace hed have all you lot giving him the "Oh Gutted!! PLEEEEASE DONt QUIT ALEX!! WE LOVE YOU"
attention that hes been lacking from the hardcore scene.
Thank you UFO for putting this into clear words. I think this sums up perfectly the only sensible explanation to this whole TOP-TIER against BOTTOM-TIER situation.
I'm tired of these ridiculous ideas filling the online boards with conspiracy theories and paranoid scenarios. As if today's best Hardcore producers were on an evil agenda or something.

Yes, you're talking - at least in part - about people who wouldn't be considered "best producers" by any half-informed listener. People whose stuff is as repetitive as can be. Sure, by all means they should have their place, possibly even the most prominent one. Not 99% though.

Not saying conspiracy theories, but as far as i can remember, Scott Brown started the trend of playing only their own tunes on CD compilations. Wouldnt be a bad thing, but these were the only compilations available at that time and were not the labels own compilation series. That pretty much crushed every opportunity there was for anyone that didnt have a name already (though the scene then wasnt that big to begin with). Also when some older producers, DJ's and MC's desided to come back, they were pretty much welcomed with open arms to biggest events etc. While the ones that kept supporting it throughout the bad years werent even given a chance.
Not saying Hardcore should start doing charity, but the current situation is a bit perversed. Silver posted the narrow list of "big players" on the front page some weeks ago, the amount of times AATW was mentioned was disgraceful. People used to lose all respect if their name was connected to AATW in anyway (not saying that was a good thing either). Things since (odd few years back) have taken a complete U-turn.
I'm not really in a position to complane though, as my money hasnt gone towards UK Hardcore for a while now. And they way things are, cant see that changing. Just glad theres Spanish and Japanese Hardcore to fill my Hardcore needs ;)

Every producer has it's place if he works hard enough, let it be on Clubland X-treme Hardcore or Hardcore Underground.
None has to be slated on the boards and accused of conspiracy for no reason. And not liking their music is a personal taste affair, NOT a good reason to do so.

Not if there's behind-the-scenes shit going on to prevent certain projects and enterprises from doing well. Yes. Some people in the "top tier" (not all of them obviously) are greedy ruthless bastards.
