Oh well, what goes round comes round as they say, or is it dont kick someone on the way up as you'll get kicked twice as hard on your way back down ?? Some people will learn one day, I know I can leave the scene with my head held high, I have never scammed anyone financially and pay people who work for me, unlike some.."

...and...

"Be Careful - It has surprised me actually how many so called 'big players' would sell their grandma to make some money, never mind pissing on you whilst you line their pockets. Don't trust what many people tell you. There are many 100 % genuine major DJ's past and present (you know who you are) that I still have 100% respect for after all this time, there are also some very untrustworthy ones that I have lost every ounce of respect for."

Good call Whispering. Things are really coming together now, aren't they! & like Revs said, Impact aswell. There's something not right here at all. Stormtroopers has blown the scene wide open & the old boys are scrambling to cover their own arses.

Ah well, we can rest easy knowing it wont always be like this. I'd be happy if Hardcore went under completely again. It would give everyone a bit of time to get get back to what its all about instead of this money, money, money. might not help my station much though

id rather be rich, liked by most people and be hated by the members of a moany forum than be poor, unknown by most people, liked by a select few but producing tracks of a much higher quality.

would you rather be an idol earning £100,000 a year but disliked by a few bellends
or a hard worker that does a good job earning £15,000 a year but is only liked by a few bellends

and yes i am reffering to people on this site as being bellends, me included

Yeah but you'd probably be prouder of yourself if you'd hard work.

But I would still prefer being an idol and earning £ 100,000 haha

I'd need the money to buy stuff I want and / or need, but don't forget : money doesn't (always) make you happy ! You need more than that, like friends, love, family, hapiness, etc.

Wtf ? You're wrong, you can't buy friends, love or family, or you live in a fake world. Actually you can buy drugs that produce euphoria.. agree on that point. But that's not real hapiness in this case.

Same, I don't care about the scene, there's not even a scene here where I live.

ever heard of thai brides? :D

and no you cant buy all that.. i was just saying that if you have a swish car and a smart suit you probably have more pulling power than having a nova and a blue overcoat. usually if your rich you get shite friends anyway though dont you.. cos they just like you for your money so you could say its a bad thing.. to an extent.. so yeah i was wrong :D

but still id rather be rich :)

oooooooooooh 1000th post

yea it would be pretty nice being rich, but many people who are rich are pretty miserable. an excess amount of money also makes you so unsatisfied, like you have to go in search of completing it somehow, mainly through money

but there are very few people who are rich and completely happy. it is possible. i wouldn't mind being rich, but I rather be make enough to survive if i love what i do for a living. i don't wanna be at a job that i'll be totally miserable at.

btw wtf is a bellend???

As an artist, I must say I totally disagree with you.
A long time ago, I heard a set by Force & Styles(united dance Volume.6, to be exact) where they only played tracks of their own. It was one of the most amazing and original things I'd ever heard. even DJ Force said it was these tracks in this mix that exploded Force & Styles into the forefront of the scene.

I was inspired to do my own version of this (a set of only tracks produced by myself) and can honestly say it wasn't easy. Being both a DJ and a producer I can say both require skill but whoever says that you're better off playing someone elses tracks is fooling themselves.
Dood! If there is a downside to our scene it's gotta be that everybody can sound like everybody else if they have enough cash to buy the same music.

Sure, there are lot's of different tracks around, BUT, if you think about it, it's because of the 4/4 scheme (not that I'm against it :P) that hardcore can only go so far before it becomes "samey/repetitive".
I'm amazed at how much hardcore has been squeezed out of the 4/4 paradigm.

If you as a producer make original tracks, tracks that dont all sound the same, then yeah you can do this and it will sound good. However, if you produce like Styles, Hixxy, SQUAD-E (especially - hence caps) then youre sets will be the most boring, pointless hour or so compilation of music to grace the publics ears and thats ok as long as they aint mine.... which they wont be.

Not true, some of big producers do mixes sometimes to promote their new tunes, and their set sound always good. Just give a look at the last Sparky's mix. Or one of Reese's mixes.
