Batistuta was a top class striker and internationally he probably had the edge overall but at club level i'd find it hard to pick anybody over Shearer.

that was my thought...internationally batistuta & club shearer. but batistuta's hat tricks in two world cups put him over for me.

Yeh Gabriel Batistuta for me
The only thing i didnt like about shearer was how he kept getin away
with elbowing everyone in the face... in his later years

Batigol any day of the week for me. My all-time favourite player and one of the reasons I'm a hugh Fiorentina fan now. Gutted when he left the Viola.
Shearer was good but Batistuta was unreal.
Came third in World Player of the year (Think it was Beckham and Ronado also nominated at the time).

My very first football top is when Fiorentina were being sponsored by Nintendo with '
Batistuta's No: 9. Best jersey I have.

He's a legend.

So I'd probably say BATISTUTA!!! ahhh...**** he was good.no ******** - just a proper striker.

batistuta was a quality player but tbh i cant name many strikers i prefer to shearer.. maybe shaun goater :D
