good question, we've found its safer not to do a weekly shop

i just go in once and a while to top us up on the essentials
so there is always food in the house

we used to spend like £100 or more and then wait till the cupboards are bare..then go in and top up, but i found we would buy so much shit we didnt need. so now i get top ups at lunchtime on occasion, the cupboards dont go bare, we dont end up going shopping on an empty stomach and buy wayyy too much..

by doing it that way we're probably spending about £120 a month, insted of £400 or somthing retarded like that
sometime i'll work it all out and give you a decent answer, bottom line is we found that it works out cheaper just to keep food topped up by doing little trips for basics insted of doing one big shop weekly or bi weekly. course, its going to be different for everyone..
