Just found this test on another forum...
http://audiocheck.net/audiotests_frequencycheckhigh.php Basically tells you after all those years of standing next to massive sound systems in raves with no protection (tut tut) how much your ears have deteriorated. Also could be useful to check your monitors high end limits. I could hear 19kHz loud and clear on both my headphones and monitors so happy days, my hearings still great, but then i am only 19 and it deteriorates with time. So give it a go. Also if youd like to know the lowest frequencies your monitors can produce download this test http://audiocheck.net/testtones_sinesweep20-20k.php load it into your daw, and use a frequency analyser like this one... http://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_FreqAnalyst/ (its free) to check what frequency is being produced when you first hear/feel the sine. Btw im very bored and a bit of geek for all this stuff, so yeah sorry to bother you all but its interesting to me :)

Sorry mate, should have put a warning on thi thread, "may open a can of worms", thats a shame about your ears man. Apparently, though, reading the posts on the other forum your ears can recover. Still you are like over 20 arent you? Thats supposedly about the age your hearing starts to deteriorate i think. Thats why over here there were plans to fit alarm-type systems that sent out an unbearable high frequency note in shops to scare away youts if they were causing trouble.
Here....

I hear it between 19-20K, I guess that's good
There's another good test, which is when you switch on your TV for example. Usually you hear this "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" but a lot of people don't ! I do hear it and it can be extremely annoying !

Only in summer, loads of them but they'll be gone be September.
No seriously you couldnt have heard 22kHz mate, did you listen to the high frequency noise with the bloke speaking over telling you the frequency, or the sine that starts at 20Hz sweeping up? It does seem strange that you and Nakk can hear frequencies that high. You must have the hearing of babies.
