You heard 22kHz? Are you part German Shepeard? lol
Germans Have sheep?
But yes, I did. It was quieter though.. Is it weird, then?
Only in summer, loads of them but they'll be gone be September.
No seriously you couldnt have heard 22kHz mate, did you listen to the high frequency noise with the bloke speaking over telling you the frequency,
He was obviously hearing the anti-aliasing, also described on the website.
Yeah i read something about "phanotm noises" or something like that, thats what i thought it was. There's no way he could have heard 22kHz surely.
Human ear can only hear up to 20Khz... Nobody is hearing 22Khz, you're hearing anti-aliasing.
Im not. Apparently Acid and Nakk are.
Well what one hears and what one thinks one hears are different things are they not :P
Also loving this quote.
when it began, it heard a tiny click, then the sound gradually grew louder as the numbers went down. though I could hear a quieter high pitched tone building up before he said 21k. having listened to it again, the first sound sounded like a plane engine starting up, and the major whistle started at 19k.. guess im normal..
...just wanted to be part of this endless reply :P

aye it's the whistle you're lookin for
That wasnt even replying to the right quote.
You fail at multi-quote
well my lil brother can hear 22k, he has a hear problem from getting his head busted open at 6 years old
so yes you can hear it
and nice quote
longest quote chain ever?
I would suck at multi-quote if this forum had such a feature.
it doesn't. I wish it did though.
I doubt getting your head chopped open as a kid would give you beyond-human sense of hearing. The human ear is incapable of reproducing sound above 20 KHZ... it has nothing to do with your head.
I like how long this chain is.
i think there are some forums which have that feature, and more, though, I love this forum the way it is :) It's like genetically modifying a baby.. it wouldn't be right..
My brothdr heard 19.. probably all the voices he gets in one ear from xbox live..

Quite shocked I can get a pretty respectable 19k (just slightly under).
Not too bad considering I'm nearly 25 and have given my ears a beating. Happy that I've been taking good care of them recently!

I can hear 18k Hz.
It is impossible for any human to hear about 20k Hz, just to let you know.

Thought i'd test my hearing again, had to search for this subject to find the test so i thought i may aswell bump it for anyone who missed it and is interested.
I could hear 21k if i turned my speakers up a bit louder, i'd say i could hear 22k but i'm sure someone said in this topic that it was probably an artifact of the recording or something. Either way i heard that too :D
It seems my hearing has improved. Strange, i was out clubbing over the weekend aswell. My ears must be invincible :p
