wasnt really just one song, it was an entire album which a friend had..i only heard it once, briefly, and it sent me on a quest to find hardcore
Hardcore Heaven Volume 1 (2xCD) back in 1997

went out a while later and bought an issue of M8 magazine that had a promo mix from DJ Fury for Off Yer Nut 2 - and i loved every song it

the first song was

Tekno Dred and Dave Jay - More Understanding ...*drool*, which i think was start of 1998

hmmmm tough one, going back a while now....

Visa - Fly Away - my friend used to play it all the time and then 6 months later i heard:

Scott Brown - Elysium

DJ Sy played it live in a set he did with MC Storm at an u18s night.
I loved it and went out and bought Bonkers 8 which it was on.

The version with singing is just awful :(

Very first Hardcore track i heard was the first track of Bonkers 12, my mate had heard some hardcore on radio 1 and decided he liked it,

Waiting - Shelly & UFO

listened to it and a few other tracks and then stomped off to Woolie's to get Bonkers for myself, when i got home me and my brother listened. Been hooked since.
