Very underrated. A lot of people slag him off because he tends to work with other people all of the time but if you look at the list of classic tracks he's been involved with and his very successful DJ career then you can't deny the man has talent. Nice guy too.

i had a discussion about him the other day with starstruck (Australia With Force Owner) and we both agreed that he hasnt actually released any major tunes on his own. But he is one of the dj's who was there from near the beginning and he also brought gammer through, but if you look at it now you would think gammer brought dougal through haha...i think gammers casting a shadow over dougal now....for example notice how it was always dougal and gammer B2B and now their both on their own dj'ing.....but they still produce together and bring out some amazing tunes
but at the end of the day i have massive respect for dougal, he is a legend on the scene

of the D&G pair I think I prefer Gammer hands down, but thats not to say Dougal is useless. Of course, he's not. He was around in the scene whilst Gammer was still learning to ride bikes and listening to Simply Red xD
However, I would like to hear what Dougal can do alone..

i completely agree, it was one of dougals mix's that got me into hardcore
i would love to hear what he can do by himself, i wonder if he's got something tucked away in his head that the scene needs....

used to good, not good since 2004
if you disagree you're probably not a real hardcore fan, just a casual listener.

Well, when I got into Hardcore, I didnt know anything. After hearing "Toytown" on Happy2bHardcore, I sought after Hixxy because his name popped up on many cds. The more cds I bought, the more exposed I became to different DJs, and Dougal, Brisk, & Sy automatically came to interest me more. I loved Dougal's track selection and his tracks with other artists. I bought "DJ Dougal: Takes Control", and was suprised at the difference in that mix alone compared to his Bonkers mixes. Dougal's mixes have always put a smile on my face.
Oh, and EvoDave, I see you have 14 posts, you'll learn that 95wasthetime only complains about today's Hardcore with no jurisdiction for his complaints. We've all gotten use to it.

I find it amazing tho tha he admits he likes hardcore up to 2004 :P
And yea, Dougal has rarelly done anything alone (have yet to hear anything of it myself).
While we're talking Dougal.. on his mix on Bonkers 7, there's a track called Steve Ed - Another Level, anyone know anything about it? would love to get it
