Does anyone own any of these albums? Are they DJ mixed or what, because I notice some of the songs are like a minute long.

Yes, they're mixed.
Currently I have 6, 8, and 9. I should also point out two that aren't technically in the speed series, Happy Ravers and Trance Ravers (despite the odd titles, the mixes are rather good if you ask me. They're also what got me into hardcore).

It is "non stop" mix... ie computer mixed... there really is no DJ's on these albums they are just a nonstop sort of thing.

I have one..the songs choices are really good..but the problem is that the sound quality is pretty below average.

Just like any other professional released album, including all of Hardcore Underground and pretty much 99% of other Hardcore albums! Why do you consider this as lazy? These albums are released for people to enjoy the songs, not drool over the dj's mixing skills. That's what live mixes are for.
I personally don't mind an album with fast mixes and songs cut in half, but I know a lof of people do and I understand why... They may not be djs and do not have access to the extended version of the tracks anywhere else than on the album.

These albums are over 10 years old and DO NOT FEATURE a DJ, they are not ment to be MIXED BY ANYONE. They are just non stop.

I know the dancemania albums are computer mixed, I wasnt referring to them, but to the «lazy 4 minute track mixings».

The CDs are "mixed" by in-house producers KCP. They are only a couple minutes long to get 30+ songs on each CD.
