Squad-E used to be one of my favourites but over time it seems like his style has become a bit watered-down

I feel that that track doesn't seem right for hardcore. The vocals just seem too fast and it just feels like lazy production. I hope that he puts out some better stuff on HTID 2 rather than just speeded up versions of his Hypasonic material.

to me, nowadays all the squad-e tracks sound the same unless theres a particularly good melody or vocal... and that, for me, is becoming rare.

he uses he same kick and bass in most of his tracks and I'm not prepared to listen to virtually the same song over and over.

That's awful. Why do people who are supposed to be top tier producers in the scene not realise that a vocal sped up that much sounds ****ing awful.

I hate Squad-E. His style hasn't changed since he first appeared on the scene, if anything it's regressing. He's like a salmon, desperately battling against the flow of the river.

Also, Storm, please die!

Ive never liked Squad-E, makes you wonder how the guy has got so far in the scene.

As for MC's. All hardcore MCs sound the same, and they are so many 'up and comers' now that I cant remember who is who.

There is one that I really hate, its either Mental or Static, cant remember which one, but I heard him once and he was god awful, most of his rhymes were out of time.

They are all Storm clones, thats why Whizzkid is so popular, cause he is different.......although is voice is an annoying noise as well.

Lyrically....most hardcore MCs ive heard are pretty poor, except Wotsee. Also Odyssey isnt scared to venture away from the norm....i like him

But yeah.....Squad-E.......no thanks

Makes me wonder how the guy APPEARED on the scene. Where did he come from? He came from seemingly nowhere to getting tracks onto Bonkers.

Going by his earlier sound, I'd guess he came in from Scouse House. That donk sound was horrible. He managed to massacre 24/7 on B16 too.

I'm not a fan. He's produced a few decent remixes, but that's about it really.

Aye he was a Donk producer, all his Hardcore tracks are just sped up Donk aren't they? Literally nothing more added other than a few BPM. Same with his 24/7 remix.

Maybe he got in with Re-con via his Ultrabeat stuff and Re-con introduced him to Hardcore. However it happened, he was unheard of in Hardcore then next thing you know he's everywhere.

Btw Warp-9 are you Squad-E? You only appeared here when Wilky was having a rant saying he's gonna kick the shit out of Squad-E, to which you responded in his (Squad-E's) defense and now you're posting a random Squad-E track asking for reviews. Seems very coincidential.

I have to say that up until last years release of HTID, I really liked Squad-E. A lot of you complained that his donk is annoying but to me, that's what made him stand out from other artists. It was his signature sound and it was very easy to identify a Squad-E track or remix from anything else.

But recently I've been a bit disappointed with his stuff. I'm not saying it's bad, just that it's not the same quality as his earlier stuff. Check out his remix of Promised Land on Bonkers 15 and compare to any of the track on HTID. On HTID only the remix of Sweetheart comes close and thats because it's an older track.

Some of you may not like the stuff he's produced but some of that stuff has been damn good - My Direction, Out Of My Hands, Doesn't Matter
