Just sliced my foot with a glass the I wasn't aware was on the floor.
Can't wait to wait for 3 hours?

Yeah.
I've gotten pretty close slicing my foot open after dropping some glass on the floor. It's hard to tell where it all goes, and more then likely you missed a piece.

bugger going to hospital, just clean it, pour some vodka on it and bandage it up. much cheaper and easier.....unless it's massive and needs stitches

tv sucks at hospital.. least for us its free... wait ignore that, i was accidentally and ironically pouring salt in the wound.. no pun intended.. well... yeah it was..

I've been here 4 hours and nobody has even looked at my foot. But me and my dad are gonna make some all-nighter 7am falafels when I get home so it's all good.

the reason it takes 4 hours is cause people keep going to hospitals with cuts and bruises.
last time i was in there cause i broke my hip there was some twat in the bed opposite me with a splinter and he wouldn't let them just take it out cause he was scared and he had to go in for surgery instead. i was in there overnight for a broken hip and he was there when i got there and there when i left.

well thats not that bad
a few years back, i was 13 i think, i got my hand caught in my bike chain and crank (the sipikes on chain thingy), so we went to the hospital to get help, waited there for 2 1/2 hours bleeding out.... there was this guy who got shot in his shoulder and he was bleeding bad and crap, he said he was waiting there for like 2 hours, me and him had to wait on this girl who ran into a glass door and had a few cuts on her face that didnt even need to be sewn up (she was like 19). me and that guy both had to have a small surgerys to get fixed up
the doc told me i should of gotten there sooner, cuz he said it was about to late to fix my bones and sew them up (or something)
so its kinda sad that 2 people who are bleeding out all over has to wait 2 hours to get help, and a girl (about 19) could get in before us, its messed up

So I'm finally home 6 stitches and 5 1/2 hours later. Me and my dad are making Falafel Pita Sandwiches :]
Today happened to be the busiest day for the ER...

there's no way i woulda gone to hospital for that at midnight. i could sit in a room full of sick people and dickheads for 5 hours in the middle of the night or just tape it up and have a dodgy lookin scar on the bottom of my foot. my dad is a paramedic though so i coulda just gone to the medicine cabinet and sewed it up myself :p

ok makes a bit more sense now. but surely there is after hours places open? certainly not an emergency i wouldnt think... im sure even over here in our unsifilised country there are after hours wings on hospitals that you can get stitched up or have a cast chucked on or whatnot.

well as far as i know on the northern beaches if u go to the hospital late at night u need to go to the emergency ward, there are a few all night medical centres scattered around the area though. last time i went there was due to my face being kicked in by maori's. wasn't gonna go at first but my head started really aching and i wanted pills so i went down around 3am. i was in and out in about 45mins but they weren't very friendly. i walked up to the counter when i got there and stood there for a few mins until the person came then was asked what was wrong to which replied "well, i got robbed by coconuts and my face doesn't seem to function properly" then they gave me a form to fill out but i could barely see so was unable to fill it out.
but i was happy with the quick service so i spose i can't complain
